Electric Bikes are a great way to explore Hood River and the Columbia River Gorge, and anyone that can ride a bike can easily ride an Ebike! Any great Ebike ride is even better followed up with a bottle of wine from our curated selection on the Inn’s idyllic porch or garden Patio, or soaking up the warmth of our romantic and relaxing hot tub!
Ebikes can be received ahead of time for full day rentals. Ask about half-day rentals or evening hourly rentals as a fun way to hit restaurants and drinks, or for an evening cruise of the waterfront pending availability!
Self Guided Tours
Moiser Twin Tunnels:
Take the ebikes on a self guided tour on the Mosier Twin Tunnels – an historic highway closed to cars and trucks – with stunning views of the Columbia River Gorge. The shady and gently sloping pedestrian and bike trail winds along cliffs and through natural and manmade tunnels! Electric assist makes the 7 mile trail to Mosier breeze by! Once in Mosier you can continue on the histrionic highway through vineyards with ongoing views of the Gorge! Consider stopping ih Mosier at the Dry Creek Trail head and hike through an historic graveyard on to the Mosier Pocket for a dip or to simply sit by a cascading stream overlooking the Columbia River. Mosier Company is a great place to stop in Mosier with beautiful terraced outdoor seating often featuring live music – again with beautiful views of the Columbia! Also know as MoCo, Mosier company is a local favorite for great food, a wonderful selection of Beer on tap and generous pours of whiskey! Kid and dog friendly! Continue though Mosier to Memaloose overlook – a often missed gem and romantic perch- and learn a chapter of the haunting history of the Gorge! As your host for more local secrets along the way – those little spots off the beaten path were you can enjoy private views and build lifelong memories! Orchards, winners, Cider Houses, fruit stands, breweries, stunning views of mount hood! That’s just a start! Explore the Hood River Valley on the Gorges famous fruit Loop. Stop at fruit stands, antique shops or road side ice cream and lavender farms and u pick fruit. Or simply enjoy the ride and break taking views. The Fruit Loop emerges you in spectacular scenery with fun divisions to delight your smell, taste and spirits! You can certainly drive the Fruit Loop and you won’t regret it, but on your ebike you’ll be immersed in landscape and creating memories you won’t forget!
Exploring Hood River and getting around!
You can use an ebike as a convenient and fun way to get around Hood River- popping from shops to restaurants to breweries without having to find a place to park your car. The electric assist makes going uphill a breeze! Even the very fit find the Hills in Hood River a challenge to navigate on bike without electric assist. Variable assist makes riding with your traveling companion a breeze – turn the power all the way up and you won’t even break a sweat. Adjust your power down to get more of a workout and keep pace with those in your group that want to let the bike do the work for them!
